Mattatuck Museum: September 24, 2023–January 7, 2024
Munson: February 17–May 5, 2024
During the past 100 years, the world has seen unprecedented migration due to geopolitical forces, economic crises and opportunities, and climate change. This exhibition showcases the rich art produced by painters, photographers, printmakers, jewelers, sculptors, and textile artists whose work creatively responds to new experiences and unfamiliar landscapes. In moving between worlds, they address both the challenges of dislocation and the hopefulness of new beginnings, and how such experiences can continue to impact subsequent generations.
